Severn to Sahara Update

Hello everybody!
Just a quick update to let you know that I have arrived in Lourdes, SW France, this afternoon. A little up on schedule which is a suprise as I had some worrying technical problems early on - spokes blowing out, punctures galore, rebuilding the rear wheel, more spokes and finally buying a new wheel in Vitre - Northern France. Since then all been OK, had some great campsites (one inside a castle) and some good but sloooow riding (bike weighs a ton!).
Some stats:
7 days, 711 miles, 3 punctures, 7 broken spokes, one dodgy bike computer (broke before the end of our road!), one replaced back wheel, one ton of French cakes consumed, one pannier rack snapped and sorted - it's been eventful!
Into the Pyrenees tomorrow...
