Many people ask me about sponsoring challenges for charity. I have now set up a page on JustGiving.com that enables people to do just this!
During my summers whilst at college and unviersity I worked on the Blackpool Beach Patrol as a lifeguard, working closely with the Blackpool lifeboat crew. These extraordinary people, and many others around the country, volunteer to put themselves at huge risks in order to help people in danger at sea. They save many lives every year. The RNLI has also set up beach lifeguards in many coastal resorts and works to increase awareness of coastal safety. Having grown up by and worked around the sea, it is clear to me how valuable this work is. For this reason, I have chosen to support the RNLI with all donations on GoingTheExtraMile.org.uk.
